I love this Artist - Owane
"Owane" is from Norway.
His style is a combination of jazz, fusion, and progressive metals.
His melody line is a very jazz-like melody.
He opened a YouTube channel about six years ago,
Since then, we've been releasing unique music videos and fashionable, cool songs there.
The latest album "Yeah Whatever" begins with a song called "Groove of Satan". The voicing and bassline of the jazz chords that echo a very groovy drum pattern on a ride cymbal with a strange accent are beautiful. In addition, his fluent guitar solo is reminiscent of guitarists such as Frank Zappa and Alan Holdsworth.
"Born in Space" is a wonderful song with a very nostalgic feel. This may be due to the 80's pop synth sound that Owane uses in this song. The song begins with a very pop-sounding guitar melody and a drum sound with reverb, and the intro track also has beautiful reverb. After that, it goes on to astonishing guitar solo and synth solo. As always, I'm amazed at how tight the playing is.
"Born in Space" is one of the most pop-like songs on the album, because the melody is very catchy and the same theme is repeated. For example, you can hear the same melody for the intro and ending. At the ending, a guitar and a bass are added along with the synth.
It's also the saxophone sound you can hear on this album, but Josef7 (his name in real life is unknown) and the drum seems to be recorded by a friend Maciej Dzik.
The above albums are also very nice.
Personally, I love the song "Summer Jam" that was announced a few years ago.
As the name suggests, it is a song that makes you feel like a very refreshing.
It makes you want to hear it in summer.
