Yes, Art is kind of enjoying history.

Since Camera and Photograph were invented, artists have been tried to create new things.
They don't need to make photoreal paintings.

Who is a contemporary artist?

Contemporary Artist means that the artist tries to create something new in his or her era.

How define what new is?

Yes, they have to refer to art history.

Posterity defines it.
