Potassium is an essential nutrient to prevent high blood pressure. Potassium has a function to excrete sodium and adjusts excessive salt intake that causes high blood pressure.

Also, when you are concerned about swelling due to excessive salt intake, actively taking in potassium will help relieve swelling.
