Have you heard of the Hedonic treadmill?
I bought a book recently and I found that.
The Hedonic treadmill is the rule is simply that humans get used to happiness.
Many people have experienced a piece of this phenomenon through their daily lives.
For example, I've bought a few guitars, but nothing goes beyond the excitement of buying the first guitar in my life.
It should have been very exciting, but after a while after purchase, the degree of excitement will approach 0 as much as possible.
The important point is that the happiness does not increase with all money worship thinking that money "If I have money, my life will be happy". Somehow the money that is used by inertia and the money that is used without increasing happiness can be understood in the light of the hedonic treadmill, but it is just an economic waste.
The more having things, the more unhappy and stress comes true touch on you. Conversely, the more having less of things and spends money on experiences such as learning new skills or travel, the happier and more satisfying the person is.
Yeah I agree with it.
If I bought very expensive things like luxury car, I concern about insurance, where I should park.
I can image that my concern will be increasing.
