I love this Artist - Ayumi Shibata

Ayumi Shibata, an artist living in Japan, uses paper to create complex urban and natural landscapes.

A miniature city made from dozens of sheets of paper, clouds, and a forest covered with trees.

Let me quote her statement

I create works using paper based on the Japanese nature worship that gods dwell in the universe.

You can even feel the sublimeness of the work as if it had a soul.

Surprisingly, she doesn't draw outlines with a pencil at the stage of production, and she seems to create work only with the imagination in her head. This is because the paper is not durable enough to erase if she makes a mistake in the draft. It's a great skill.

The production process of the work is described as "white paper expresses sunlight and light, and the cutting process expresses shadow."

Shibata also uses the Japanese word "God" when considering the relationship between humans and nature that appears in her work.

Regarding the work, "The world of paper that spreads in glass expresses our human world, the earth, the universe, and the micro world."

It's a wonderful work that combines delicate techniques and Japanese philosophy!
