I love this Artist - Shaman
Shaman was formed in mid-2000 when ANGRA's Andre Matos (vocals, keyboards, ex-Viper), Luis Mariutti (bass, ex-Firebox), and Ricardo Confessori (drums, ex-Colls) left ANGRA. When the band was founded, they didn't have a guitarist, so they added Hugo Mariutti (formerly Henceforth) as a member.
Combining heavy metal, classical music, and Brazilian world music elements of Shaman.
The band began recording their debut album titled "Ritual" in 2002.
"Ritual" has been released in more than 15 countries. The World Ritual Tour lasted a year and a half and toured in places such as Brazil, Asia, Latin America, and Europe.
And in 2003, with the participation of special guests such as Tobias Sammet, Marcus Viana, Andi Deris, Sasha Pace, George Mousaek, Michael Waikas, a live performance at Credicard Hall (now UnimedHall) in São Paulo. They recorded it. The live was then released on a CD and DVD titled Ritu Alive. All engineering and mixing were done at Creative Studios in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This DVD will be the first live DVD that has made me a big impact on my music life.
In 2005, the second album "Reason" was almost completed and ready for release, so they decided to add "A" to the band's name to avoid duplication of names by another band. The album was mixed by German producer Sascha Paeth and recorded by Phil Colodetti at Creative Studios in Brazil, bringing the feel and spirit of heavy metal from the '80s to the fore.
Shaman was subsequently hibernated in 2006. At that time, only drummer Ricardo Confessori will remain in Shaman, and the other members will leave and start another band.
Ricardo Confessori, the only remaining member of Shaman, has decided to continue the band with new members.
Then, in 2007, the album "Immortal" was released.
It is a powerful and folk music color that makes you feel the first album.
And again in 2013, all members except Mr. Confessori left,
They have formed a new band called Noturn all.
What a dramatic band!
On June 29, 2018, Shaman announced a tour and return with Shaman's early original members to commemorate the 17th anniversary of its formation. Unfortunately, they toured with Avantasia until June 2, 2019, but was interrupted by the unexpected death of vocalist Andre Matos.
They are an amazing band.
I keep supporting them as much as possible.
