I love this Artist - Angra part 1
Angra was formed in November 1991 by Andre Matos, a student vocalist at the Santa Marcelina College of Music in Brazil, and Rafael Bittencourt, a guitarist. Since then, the members have changed many times, and now guitarist Rafael Bittencourt is the only original member.
The band is especially popular in Japan and Europe.
They have released 9 regular studio albums, 5 EPs, and 3 live CDs / DVDs so far.
Among them, today I would like to introduce my favorite songs.
The masterpiece "Carry On" is indispensable when talking about them.
This song is included in the 1st album and symbolizes the era of early member vocalist Andre Matos.
It is a killer tune. It may not be an exaggeration to say that this song is the best song that represents Angra.
When Andre Matos passed away in summer 2019,
this "Carry On" was sung by fans on Facebook and other media.
In 2001, the song released with a new vocalist "Edu Falaschi" was "Nova Era".
This song was released in 2000 when Andre Matos left the band with Luís Mariutti on bass and Ricardo Confessori on drums.
As the name implies, it is a powerful song that symbolizes Angra's new era.
I will talk about the 2000's Angra history next post.
