May Parlar is a Berlin-based photographer who takes surrealistic style photographs.
The theme of her works is time and memory, belonging and alienation, and many works are often created with motifs such as those worn by humans, balloons, and groups (humans).

People in the photo are often drawn with their individuality, and their facial expressions cannot be read, such as facing backward or masking. The people are unique, they are mysterious and surreal.

"My work uses a variety of media such as performance art, sculpture, installation, landscape art, etc. Ultimately, those media are combined and made into works by the camera. The camera is like a glue that puts them together in one expression.''
